User Manual

Everything you need to use SRT Player—basic controls and tips for shadowing / deep reading.

1 はじめる準備

まずは字幕ファイルを読み込みます。動画や音声は別アプリで再生し、SRT Playerは「字幕とタイミングの学習」に集中する使い方がおすすめです。

📁 ファイルを読み込む

画面下の 📁 をタップし、.srt または .zip を選択します。
読み込み後、字幕が一覧表示されます。

※ZIPは「SRTファイルが1つだけ」入っている必要があります。

🧾 対応形式

  • .srt（SubRip Subtitle）
  • .zip（中にSRTが1つだけ）
  • サイズ制限：5MBまで（巨大ファイルは読み込みが重くなります）
一般的な映画字幕は数百KB程度です。

1 Preparation

Load your subtitle file first. We recommend playing the video/audio in another app, and using SRT Player for subtitle timing + study.

📁 Load a file

Tap 📁 and choose a .srt or .zip. Subtitles will appear as a list.

ZIP must contain exactly one SRT file.

🧾 Supported formats

  • .srt (SubRip Subtitle)
  • .zip (contains one SRT)
  • Size limit: up to 5MB
Most movie subtitles are only a few hundred KB.

2 基本の操作

▶ 再生 / 一時停止

画面下の ▶ を押すと自動スクロールが始まります。
もう一度押すと ⏸（一時停止）になります。

字幕の進行は「経過時間」で管理されています。

⏪ / ⏩ 0.5秒の微調整

⏪ で0.5秒戻る / ⏩ で0.5秒進む。
1単語だけ聞き直したいときに便利です。

※連打して細かく調整できます。

🕙 特定の時間へジャンプ

🕙 を押して時刻を入力し、Jumpで移動します。
入力例：12（12秒） / 02:15（2分15秒） / 1:02:30（1時間2分30秒）

「.（ドット）」も使えます（例：02.15 → 02:15）。

👆 タップでUI表示

再生中に画面をタップすると操作UIが表示されます。
触らずにいると自動で隠れ、字幕に集中できます。

学習中の誤操作を減らせます。

2 Basic controls

▶ Play / Pause

Press ▶ to start auto-scrolling. Press again to pause (⏸).

Timing is managed by elapsed time.

⏪ / ⏩ Seek by 0.5s

Use ⏪ to go back 0.5s and ⏩ to go forward 0.5s.

Great for replaying a single word.

🕙 Time jump

Tap 🕙, enter a time, then jump.
Examples: 12 (12s) / 02:15 (2m15s) / 1:02:30 (1h2m30s)

Dots also work (e.g., 02.15).

👆 Tap to show UI

Tap the screen to show controls. The UI hides automatically so you can focus on subtitles.

Helps prevent accidental taps.

3 「今ここ！」同期（おすすめ）

字幕の行をダブルタップすると、その行の開始時刻へジャンプしてすぐ再生します。シャドーイングの反復が圧倒的にラクになります。

字幕の行をダブルタップすると、そこから再生が始まります。
聞き取れなかったフレーズだけを即リピートできます。

「聞く → まねる → もう一回」のループに最適。

🎯 手動スクロールから自動に戻す

再生中に手でスクロールした後、画面を軽くタップすると現在位置に追従し直します。
（＝自動スクロールに戻る）

学習中に迷子になりにくい設計です。

3 “I’m here!” Sync (Recommended)

Double-tap a subtitle line to jump to its start time and play immediately—perfect for repetition and shadowing.

Great for instant replay of tricky phrases.

🎯 Return to auto-follow

After manual scrolling, tap the screen to re-follow the current position (auto-scroll).

Prevents getting lost during practice.

4 画面表示の特長

🌑 没入モード（UI自動非表示）

再生中、数秒操作しないと操作バーが自動で隠れます。字幕だけが表示され、集中しやすくなります。

表示したいときは画面をタップ。

⏱️ 常時タイマー表示

右上に経過時間が表示されます。動画側の時間と合わせるときに便利です。

長尺コンテンツでも位置合わせが簡単。

4 Display features

🌑 Immersive mode (Auto-hide UI)

Controls hide after a few seconds during playback so you can focus on subtitles.

Tap the screen to show controls.

⏱️ Persistent timer

Elapsed time is always visible (top-right), helpful for syncing with your video/audio.

Easy alignment for long content.

5 便利な機能（ここを強化）

⚙ 再生速度の調整（0.50x〜2.00x）

左上の ⚙ を開き、速度を変更できます。
⬅️ / ➡️ で微調整、または入力欄に 1.25 のように直接入力してください。

  • おすすめ：最初は0.80x〜0.95x → 慣れたら1.00x〜1.20x
  • 記憶：ファイルごとに速度設定が保存されます（次回も同じ速度）
※入力は0.50〜2.00の範囲で有効です。

🅰 文字サイズ / 🎨 テーマ / 🌍 言語

⚙ から、文字サイズ（小/中/大）・テーマ（Dark/Sepia/Paper）・表示言語（日本語/English）を切り替えできます。

  • 精読：文字サイズを大きめ＋Paper/Sepia
  • 発話練習：Dark＋没入モードで集中

💤 スリープ防止（対応端末）

再生中は画面が暗くならないように保つ機能があります（対応ブラウザのみ）。
長時間のシャドーイングでも学習が途切れにくくなります。

端末/ブラウザによって挙動が異なります。

🧹 履歴消去（読み込みデータ / 速度の保存）

⚙ 内の「履歴消去」で、直近に読み込んだ字幕データや保存された速度設定をリセットできます。

  • 読み込んだ字幕内容（ローカル保存）を削除
  • ファイルごとの速度設定を削除
共有PCなどで使った後におすすめ。
✅ 学習のコツ： 「0.85xで聞く → ダブルタップで同じ行を3回 → 1.00xで通し読み」のように、速度と反復を組み合わせると効率が上がります。

5 Useful features (Enhanced)

⚙ Playback speed (0.50x–2.00x)

Open ⚙ and adjust speed. Use ⬅️ / ➡️ for small steps, or type a value like 1.25.

  • Tip: Start with 0.80x–0.95x, then move up to 1.00x–1.20x
  • Saved: Speed is saved per file for next time
Valid range: 0.50–2.00.

🅰 Font size / 🎨 Theme / 🌍 Language

Use ⚙ to switch font size, theme (Dark/Sepia/Paper), and language (JA/EN).

  • Deep reading: larger text + Paper/Sepia
  • Speaking: Dark + immersive mode

💤 Prevent screen sleep (supported devices)

During playback, the app may request a wake lock (supported browsers) to keep your screen awake.

Behavior depends on device/browser.

🧹 Clear history (loaded data / speed settings)

In ⚙, “Clear History” resets stored subtitle data and saved speed settings.

  • Clears locally stored subtitle content
  • Clears per-file speed settings
Recommended on shared devices.
✅ Study tip: Combine speed + repetition: listen at 0.85x, double-tap replay a line 3 times, then read through at 1.00x.

6 トラブルシューティング

❗ ZIPが読み込めない / エラー

  • ZIPの中に SRTが1つだけ入っているか確認
  • フォルダ階層が深い場合、ZIPを作り直すと改善することがあります

🐢 動作が重い

  • ファイルサイズが大きい（目安5MB以上）と重くなりやすい
  • 他のタブを閉じる / 端末を再起動

🈁 文字化けする

  • SRTの文字コードがUTF-8以外の可能性があります（Shift-JIS等）
  • 可能なら字幕をUTF-8で保存し直してください

🧭 スクロールが追従しない

  • 手でスクロールすると自動追従が一時停止します
  • 画面をタップしてUIを表示すると、現在位置へ戻りやすいです

6 Troubleshooting

❗ ZIP won’t load

  • Make sure the ZIP contains exactly one SRT file
  • Recreate the ZIP if it contains deep folder structures

🐢 Feels slow

  • Large files (near/over 5MB) can be slow
  • Close other tabs / restart the device

🈁 Garbled text

  • The SRT may be encoded in non-UTF-8 (e.g., Shift-JIS)
  • Try converting/saving the SRT as UTF-8

🧭 Auto-follow stops

  • Manual scrolling pauses auto-follow temporarily
  • Tap the screen to re-focus on the current position

7 スマホで「アプリ」として使う

ブラウザのメニューから「ホーム画面に追加」をすると、アプリのようにすぐ起動できます（端末/ブラウザによって表示は異なります）。

  • iOS (Safari)：共有ボタン → ホーム画面に追加
  • Android (Chrome)：︙メニュー → ホーム画面に追加

7 Add to Home Screen

Add the site to your home screen from your browser menu to launch it like an app (UI may differ by device).

  • iOS (Safari): Share → Add to Home Screen
  • Android (Chrome): Menu → Add to Home screen

8 広告とプライバシーポリシー

Q. ツール画面に広告は表示されますか？

A. ツール本体（app.html）には広告を表示しません。広告はトップページなど「読むコンテンツ」にのみ表示します。

Q. 字幕ファイルの内容は外部に送信されますか？

A. いいえ。字幕の解析・表示はブラウザ内（ローカル）で完結します。外部サーバーへ送信されません。

8 Ads & Privacy Policy

Q. Are ads shown inside the player?

A. No. The player page (app.html) shows no ads. Ads (if any) are only placed on content pages like the homepage.

Q. Are subtitle files uploaded?

A. No. Subtitle parsing and rendering are done locally in your browser. No file content is uploaded.
